Dogs in the Workplace

Purebred Breeders puppies for sale office-dogIt is no secret that dogs are a man’s best friend, and at Purebred Breeders, they are our best friends too!  Dogs are not limited to just being at home anymore, with about 1 in 5 companies now allowing pets to come to work, our four-legged friends are stretching their paws into the professional world.  At Amazon and Google, pets are welcome to come to work alongside their owners and it sure is a great way to freshen up your work day.

I am sure as dog lovers we can understand the happiness that comes with owning a dog or a puppy and that feeling of love when you are greeted after a long day.  Well companies are trying to emulate that same feeling, one of the top reasons behind this change of allowing pets in the workplace is because it is an inexpensive way to boost morale and reduce the stresses of work, creating a happier work environment.

A few things to consider before adapting this new policy to your office is to make sure all your employees are receptive to the idea.  If an employee has allergies or a fear of dogs, the benefits of having a dog in the workplace are negated.  Also, instill some guidelines for the persons responsible for these dog visitors as to ensure a healthy, dynamic work environment.  As we mentioned, we recommend giving the idea some thought; there are plenty of benefits, both for the dogs and people involved!

Welcome to the new era of bring-your-dog-to-work day!
